WildYoga's unique combination of yoga teacher training & spiritual ecology will invigorate your yoga practice and connect you with tools for living in alignment with nature, for restoring balance to your health, and for sharing this with your community.
The WildYoga Teacher Training is both a personal healing journey and a robust educational program that leads to certification with Yoga Alliance.

CONSISTENCY.
Weekly meetings ensure regularity and routine both in community and in structuring your individual practice. All students loved the consistency of the group commitment over the 8-month program. By contrast, many yoga teacher trainings require full-time, on-site immersion for a length of time from a week to a month or more.
CERTAINTY.
Rain or shine, quarantine or not! Regardless of what's happening in our unpredictable world, our study of the ancient wisdom of yoga carries on - offering tools to support us in navigating the known and unknown.
COMMUNITY.
Our virtual classroom is a deeply nourishing group learning space that our students found to be a refuge - both during live Zoom classes and offline through group communication.
COMFORT.
This course can be done from the comfort of wherever you are! Because we are not a destination program in an exotic location or studio, eliminating travel means our program is more gentle on the planet. Plus, building a practice in your personal environment creates a routine you are more likely to continue once the course is completed.
CONVENIENCE.
You can complete this program without giving up your job, your family responsibilities or drastically changing your schedule. The majority of the course is self-paced; live sessions account for approximately 15 hours per month.
COST.
Our virtual program is far more affordable than most in-person yoga teacher trainings that can cost upwards of twice as much as our offering. We also offer various financial assistance solutions for you to feel confident in joining this program without breaking the bank.

What you can expect...
First Saturday of Each Month • Opening a New Theme
*Live Zoom | 8am-12pm PST
An overview of the month’s material, and an orientation to the learning objectives for the theme and topics. This four-hour session will include didactic presentations, asana practice, meditation, pranayama, break-out groups, and discussion.
Every Tuesday • Shared Learning Session
*Live Zoom | 7am-8:30am PST
This weekly class brings more focus onto a particular aspect of yoga, including anatomy, philosophy, Q&A, and learning assessment.
Twice a Month Thursday • Guided Yoga Class
*Live Zoom | 7am-8:30am PST
We'll explore asana, pranayama and meditation together as a cohort. Initially this weekly session will be led by the instructors. Eventually this will be where students are invited to practice their teaching. Finally, this will be where students offer their practicum class and receive feedback from instructors and peers.
At Your Pace • Self-Study Practice
Our course will have a dedicated online classroom space where we will post recordings of archived live Zoom sessions, additional resources, and written homework assignments. Throughout the month you will be invited into self-guided explorations of nature, awareness, required reading and personal yoga practice. Together we will create a brave space of accountability where each person is uniquely unfolding their own journey in community. You can expect approximately 3-4 hours of self-study per week.
*Live Zoom sessions will be recorded and archived for the duration of the course. If you are unable to attend a session, you will be able to review it later at your convenience. However, live attendance is encouraged, and a minimum number of synchronous learning hours is required for certification.

At least one year of yoga practice is recommended as a pre-requisite, but is not required.
Tuition Includes:
• Excellent instruction from a caring team of seasoned yoga teachers & wilderness guides
• Live and recorded yoga classes, pranayama practices and meditations
• Writing exercises and journaling prompts
• Online community space for extra support and connection

• Opportunity to teach a full yoga class to the group online and receive feedback
• Learning assessment in the form of online quizzes and submission of written and recorded assignments
• Certificate of Completion from a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance
Balanced Rock is offering add-on modules which will be held in-person in the Yosemite area in 2022.
In response to feedback, we know that many students will want to gather in-person to deepen their learning and connection in a different way. The in-person modules will be completely optional, and offered as an opportunity to make-up any missed Zoom hours, and get hands-on time with instructors.
