Frequently Asked Questions

  • I would like to enroll in the WildYoga Teacher Training, however I don’t have sufficient funds to pay the full course price. Do you offer sliding-scale, scholarships or tuition assistance?

At Balanced Rock we believe everyone should have access to education and wellness opportunities. We do everything we can to make our courses accessible to all who are interested regardless of financial resources. Please email [email protected] or call (209) 379-WILD (9453) to speak with us about tuition assistance. We want to support you in turning your dream into a reality!

  • I have done an Immersion or Training with Balanced Rock in the past, and didn't complete my yoga teacher certification...will this program count towards my hours?

Yes. This online program counts towards your hours for completing yoga teacher certification with Balanced Rock as recognized by Yoga Alliance. Please contact us directly via email: [email protected], so we can assess your eligibility on a case-by-case basis.

  • I already have a 200RYT certification and am looking for a 300-hr training. Could this program help me move towards my 500RYT with Yoga Alliance?

This is something we can discuss on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us at [email protected], and we can explore what is possible!

  • I’m not really sure I want to become a yoga teacher, however I am interested in deepening my personal practice...is this course for me?

Yes! If you are not interested in teaching yoga, you will not have to teach in the program. You are most welcome to participate to any degree that serves you. We have had many people in the past who have joined the program with a desire to deepen their own learning.

  • How is WildYoga different from other styles of yoga?

A key aspect that differentiates WildYoga is the integration of the natural world with our yoga practice, and a focus on yoga as a powerful form of environmental stewardship. Truly our entire program is informed by the energies and cycles of the natural world. It is our greatest teacher. As such, WildYoga is invitational; we welcome you to feel into and find what works for you, and to share this with humility once you complete the program.

  • Do I need to attend all Live Zoom sessions in order to complete my certification?

We recognize that life doesn’t stop just because you have decided to embark on this journey! We want to support you in being as successful as possible in the course and beyond. In order to receive a certificate of completion, you do need to participate in a minimum of 100 hours of synchronous learning. Synchronous learning refers to all types of learning in which learner(s) and instructor(s) are in the same place, at the same time (online or in-person), in order for learning to take place. If you miss more than three of the Live Zoom sessions, you will need to make up those hours. As Balanced Rock is offering in-person modules and other classes online, we believe this is possible.

  • Will there be any in-person components to the program?

The 200-hour WildYoga Training is fully online. However, for those who would like to gather in-person to deepen their learning and connection in a different way, Balanced Rock will offer a number of in-person modules this year. These will be completely optional, and offered as an opportunity to make-up any missed Zoom hours, and get hands-on time with instructors. Please note, the in-person modules are NOT included in the 200-Hour Training tuition, but can be added for a discount when registering for the Training. Contact [email protected] with questions or if you'd like more information on this option.

  • I am inspired by the program, however I just don’t know if it is the right fit…

We welcome you to reach out to us and have a conversation. It is not our intention to convince anyone to participate unless it is in alignment with your goals and needs!
